California Continued- Disneyland

We went to Disneyland again on Tuesday with all 27 of the Seamons' clan. I think I liked Pirates of the Caribbean the best. Calvin got really scared in the Haunted Mansion and when the light came back on he was really embarrassed because he found out he was wrapped around another lady who was not his mom. Hilarious.

Joel's Birthday on the Beach
We celebrated Joel's 37th birthday on Wednesday. He enjoyed the day boogie boarding, barbecuing and relaxing. We went to Medieval Times for dinner. It was a "Knight to Remember".

My brother Kelly was in town so he joined us at Medieval Times for dinner.

Thursday was our last beach day. We made the most out of it and Boogie Boarded from sun up til sun down. What a blast! Kelly joined us for some wave time later in the day.

Friday we took the kids to Sea World and caught a late flight home to Denver. It was a great way to end a dream vacation ( although it made for some grumpy tired kids on the home flight).

California Vacation Continued

Sunday we went to the San Diego Temple. Amazing structure! Then we posed for some family pictures. Annie Rigby the family photographer took them. Below is a cousin photo.

Monday was another beach day. Calvin loved to Boogie Board...and he was good at it too! Oliver and Hailey were also able to hang ten (maybe five) by the end of the vacation.

California Vacation

We had an amazing 8 day vacation. We flew in to Los Angeles on Thursday June 5. We toured the LA temple grounds where I served my mission. The visitor center is under construction unfortunately so I didn't get to give them all the full "tour". We took lots of photos unfortunately I forgot my camera card in the computer at home. We took the kids to Cheesecake Factory in Santa Monica- my favorite restaurant. Then we drove to Anaheim and stayed acrossed the street from Disneyland at Castle Inn and Suites. We hit Disneyland the next day! Four kids at Disneyland...it was fun but exhausting! The kids had a ball. We drove to the beachhouse late that night to meet up with Joel's family.

It was a great reunion with the Seamons' family- all 27 of us plus the Rigby's next door (Joel's Uncle Jim and Aunt Marilyn's family). There were tons of kids, lots of food and games (of course).

On Saturday we had a beach day! Hailey and Jade loved playing in the sand.

Summer Break

Summer is great! Our kids were so excited to swim in our pool this year! Joel built the great little fenced in area last summer. We brought in a couple new loads of sand and we are pretty close to having a beach in our backyard! They were swimming when the temperature was only 74 degrees. Brr...Whew it takes a lot of energy to keep my kids entertained! It may be a long but exciting and definitely fun filled summer!

Our 13th Wedding Anniversary

Joel and I had a great 13th Wedding Anniversary get-a-way. We went mountain biking on our way to Golden. We stayed downtown Golden at Table Mountain Inn. It is a great place and their restaurant has great enchiladas. Our friend Leslie turned us on to them when we lived in Golden. We went to Heritage Square to see one of their shows. I was serenaded by "Elvis" singing are you lonely tonight. The singer moved in and separated Joel and I. He unclasped our hands and held on to mine. I was really embarrassed. We went to church the next morning and saw a lot of our old friends from Golden. I gave Joel a photo album for our anniversary of 13 years of pictures with the two of us and our many adventures. I think he likes it because he has been carrying it around ever since.
